The Hertfordshire Heavy Horse Show is a countryside day at Capel Manor that is an unmissable event for all outdoor enthusiasts and animal lovers. The horses are stunning and we had a great time last year.
It’s a full day showcasing a variety of Heavy Horses including Shires, Clydesdales, Percherons and Suffolks with Breed, Harness and Vehicle Parades.
There are also craft and rural stands, dray rides, a dog agility team, 30 acres of gardens and an animal corner with a glimpse into rural history and plenty of children’s entertainment.
Prices are well worth it:
Adults £5.50
Concessions £4.50
Children £2.50
(5 years and under go free)
Family ticket £13.50
(2 adults, Up to 3 children)
The event is organised by the Hertfordshire Heavy Horse Association and you can find more details here.
If you want to add a walk to your visit then this is a cracking 10 mile walking route around Capel and Forty Hall.
