Featuring six new and exciting zones the show offers FREE have-a-go attractions, inspirational guest speakers, a range of information on everything ‘outdoor, adventure and travel’, as well as the latest gear & equipment at great prices.

Destinations, tour operators and ‘year out’ companies from across the world come together in the Telegraph Adventure Travel zone to make it a hotspot for globe-trotting adventurers. Pick up great tips and advice for your next trip and discover hidden gems by listening to the travel experts on The Telegraph Travel Stage. Experts confirmed to speak include Olympian and adventurer James Cracknell, BBC Security Correspondent Frank Gardner and Telegraph Travel Editor Charles Starmer-Smith. Heard enough? Then head next door for a drink and to admire the stunning photographs in the National Geographic Traveller Café – you might also get the opportunity to discuss your next adventure with one of our experts from the stage!

The show is proud to support the Britain on Foot campaign which puts emphasis on encouraging more people to get active outdoors. Stroll through to the Britain on Foot zone and you’ll find everything you need to make the most out of exploring the UK’s countryside, from campsites and hostels to local tourist boards and activity providers. You can also buy and sample local produce from the Small Producers’ Market, relax on the Village Green with a drink and learn bushcraft skills in the Wild Britain area.

For a more active, adrenaline-fuelled day out, the Climb & Adventure zone features plenty of FREE have-a-go attractions including the multi-faceted Climbing Village. With walls suitable for all abilities, beginner tuition and master classes courtesy of DMM, the Village caters for all. The Free Drop Experience is new for 2014 and allows visitors to feel the thrill of free fall by jumping from a 5m tall platform into a huge airbag! You’ll also find top climbers and adventurers on the Climb & Adventure Stage in association with Lonely Planet, they’ll be sharing advice and stories from their own experiences. Speakers include Coldest Journey expedition leader Brian Newham, Adventure filmmaker Alastair Lee, Sean Conway (who recently swam the length of Britain) and Alan Hinkes, the first Briton to climb the world’s fourteen 8000m+ mountains. This year the World’s longest indoor zip wire will be at the Show courtesy of Go Ape and will be a huge 160m long. Plus, there will be two lines so adventurous visitors can race each other! Their Mobile Playground – a Junior High Ropes Course – will also give under 10s the chance to try swinging in the trees for a new experience.

Sailing, kayaking, surfing, wakeboarding… the On the Water zone focuses on providing visitors with all the information, advice and technique tips they need to safely and comfortably get active on the water.

Celebrate stunning photography, top UK photographers and the latest camera equipment at the Adventure Photography Festival. The Outdoor Photography Photo Box hosts talks from Britain’s best photographers on everything from wildlife and landscape photography to capturing that killer action shot. The 2014 Show sees a stellar line up covering many types of photography, including travel and landscape photographer David Noton, adventure photographer Martin Hartley and top winter sports snapper Dan Carr. Then the Outdoor Photography Departure Lounge is the place for you, where holiday and course providers are happy to chat through the options and find the perfect one for you.

Headline sponsor SEAT will showcase the stunning new Leon ST at the Show, as well as offering test drives. Prior to the Show, the ST will be really put through its paces in a compelling Adventure Challenge starring British adventurer Tobias Mews. The challenge will see the spacious and stylish Leon ST demonstrate its versatility, making it perfect for impromptu weekends away and epic road trips. Tobias will be making an appearance at the show, speaking on the Climb & Adventure Stage and bringing the used ST with him.

New for 2014 is the official Outdoors Store which will be run in partnership with Blacks to provide visitors with a real in-store experience at the show.
