This is a super simple 45 minute circular walking route in Epping Forest that covers just over a mile. The Rowan Trail is named after the Common Rowan which fruits in July and August and can be found near to the base of the many oak trees. The Rowan Trail walk in Epping Forest is best served by car, where you can park at the Knighton Lane car park just off the A121 from Woodford green to Loughton or you can get the London Underground to Roding Valley and walk up Station Way to Farm Way and then join the walk at the half way point at Monkhams Lane.

This walk forms part of nine City of London Corporation official way marked trails in Epping Forest and you can easily find your way around Knighton Wood and Lord’s Bushes following the Green Arrow way makers.
