Mountain Warehouse very kindly sent me some kids walking gear to review and Tedi was super excited to have some proper walking clothes, ‘just like Daddy’.

With Summer upon us I thought it was a really good idea to kit Tedi out with a proper pair of walking boots to give his feet more stability than his kids wellies and the Squirrel Junior Kids Boots looked perfect for his little feet.

We then set out for our usual visit to Epping Forest to see how comfortable and practical his new kids walking clothes were.

With the ground much harder underfoot now it is important that Tedi has a pair of walking boots that protect his feet and give his ankles better support. The Squirrel Junior Kids Boots fitted Tedi perfectly and were exactly as described in the size chart. The zip up sides made it easy to get the boots on and the Velcro fastenings made sure his feet were safe and secure. We normally walk about 3 – 4 miles and his socks were dry at the end of the walk so the breathability of the boots certainly works.

As we normally walk in Epping Forest, through the long grass, stinging nettles and following deer trails and animal tracks Tedi needed a pair of walking trousers that would protect his legs and skin from stings, scratches, insect and bugs bites, as well as giving him some extra pockets to stuff twigs, feathers and snacks in. The Mountain Warehouse Active Kids Trousers really did the job – super comfortable and with a really good fit.
