Walks And Walking – Top 3 Walks In Epping Forest
As the good weather now appears to be with us I thought I would put together my top 3 walks in Epping Forest that are a little more ‘off the beaten track’. Whilst most people flock to Wanstead Park or High Beach during the weekends these 3 walks are ones where I have just sketched out on a map and then set off to see what I could find.

Walk 1: Cobbins Brook Walk
This is a 4 mile circular walking route in Epping Forest starting in Upshire, heading out to Copped Hall and up to Cobbins Brook before turning back through dense parts of Epping Forest to find some Fallow Deer before rejoining the track back to Upshire.
Walk 2: Family Walk
This is a 5 mile circular walking route that includes all my favourite places to visit in the heart of Epping Forest. This walk starts at Chingford Plain and heads up to Loughton Camp, High Beach and back down through Connaught Water to the large car park in Chingford.
Walk 3: Deer Sanctuary Walk
This is a 9 mile circular walking route that starts in Debden heading out East to Abridge, up and around to Theydon Bois and then back down passed the Deer Sanctuary at Birch Hall down through back to Debden London Underground Station.
