Walks And Walking – Felixstowe Ferry Walking Route
Walks And Walking – Felixstowe Ferry Walking Route
This is a super simple child friendly walking route to Felixstowe Ferry in Suffolk and back via the raised banks circling Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club.

Walks And Walking – Felixstowe Ferry Walking Route Martello Tower
We parked at the Cliff Road car park next to the Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club and walked right down to the steps to the head north along the coastal path towards the first Martello Tower of the day. We continued our walk passing the Martello Tower on our left hand side.

At the river mouth we continued along the main coastal path to the next Martello Tower where we stopped to admire the beautiful cottage garden next to it.
When we arrived at Felixstowe Ferry Tedi picked up the bat and starting waving it to the ferryman, who promptly started his engine and popped over to pick us up. The ferry takes you to Bawdsey Manor so we went over together and had a very quick look round before catching the ferry back to Felixstowe.
From Felixstowe Ferry we found a clear footpath signpost that circled around the top of Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club and then walked left through the kissing gate along the tracks all the way back to cross over Cliff Road and back to the car.
This walk covered 3 miles and took us just under 3 hours to complete, but that did include quick a length stop over on the Felixstowe Ferry to Bawdsey Manor and back.
