KEEN Clearwater Leather CNX Walking Sandals
I have never been what you might call a ‘sandals person’ but as we are now in the middle of the summer, and I do suffer from very hot feet in most other types of walking boots and shoes, I thought I’d give it a try.
It was perfect sandal walking weather, hot and dry, so I spent the weekend covering approximately 17 miles of the North Downs Way in Kent, and wearing sandals was actually quite a feet liberating experience.
The undulating hills of the Kent countryside with it’s short steep climbs and wide grassy tracks provided a fairly good test for a new pair of walking shoes.
KEEN Clearwater Leather CNX Walking Sandals are extremely lightweight at 292 grams and the toe protection worked perfectly as I scrambled up the chalky hills of the North Downs Way.
With the toe protection and the customised fit of the shoe I also found it prevented small stones from getting in to the rest of the sandals. They have great contoured arch support, with easy to tighten and loosen bungee lacing and multi-directional flex grooves and razor siping for excellent grip on all surfaces.
They are lined with hydrophobic mesh for extra comfort and the waterproof leather upper is machine washable. Just pop them on a gentle cycle with a little detergent and then let them air dry.
A friend of my mine on Twitter has had their KEEN walking sandals for over 10 years so they’re definitely built to last.
These KEEN Clearwater Leather CNX Walking Sandals were from the Sportshoes.com Outdoor Hub.
The Outdoor Hub is where you can find everything you need to safely enjoy the great outdoors with a decent range of waterproof hiking boots, walking shoes and outdoor sandals to outdoor wear including windproof jackets, waterproof trousers and Gore-Tex Jackets.
