HF Holidays 7 Mile Linear Easy Walk to Dunster
HF Holidays 7 Mile Linear Easy Walk to Dunster
This was our third walk during our week at Holnicote House with HF Holidays.
It was a 7 mile linear easy walk from Holnicote House to Selworthy Green and up on to the ridgeway all the way to Dunster Castle.
Our HF Holidays walk leader today was Richard and after a quick outline of our walk we set off from the Boot Room to cross the road and walk up to Selworthy Green, which is a perfectly preserved National Trust set of stunning cottages and tea rooms.

HF Holidays 7 Mile Linear Easy Walk to Dunster – Guns Cottage At Holnicote House
It was an absolutely glorious day for a walk as we left our cottage at Holnicote House to start walking up to Selworthy Green.
We had another quick stop off at The White Church with its amazing views across Exmoor National Park.
We followed the signpost to Dunster and the next bridleway signpost to Wootton Common where we followed the next signpost to Dunster where we found a hidden trig point on the edge of the woodlands.
We continued our walk following the next signpost to Dunster and the MAC Way where the ridgeway widened to reveal fantastic views down to the coast and provided us with the perfect place to pitch up for lunch.
We then walked steeply down Grabbist Hill in to National Trust woodland where we picked up the next signpost to Dunster.
We continued our walk to a lane with an allotment full of beautiful flowers that lead us in to Dunster.
We then had a good wander round the Dunster Dovecote, Barn and Church before joining up with some of the other groups at the Dunster Yarn Market where we then walked round to the car park by the Rohan shop to all catch the coach back to Holnicote House.
It’s well worth a visit to DUnster Castle and the National Trust’s Dream Garden.
When we arrived home the children all jumped in to the heated swimming pool and I had a very relaxing drink in the gardens admiring the view!
